Job Summary

This role involves supporting critical marine research within the LiMare consortium, focusing on developing environmentally friendly methods for extracting raw materials from seawater. The Technical Assistant will primarily conduct incubation experiments using sediment cores and the overlying water column to perform comprehensive risk assessments for new technology. Daily tasks include implementing various experimental approaches, performing cell counts, and conducting taxonomic, functional, and chemical analyses using classical microbiological and molecular biological lab techniques. The position requires a certified lab technician background (Biology or Chemistry) with strong experience in sterile lab work and microbial cultivation.
