Job Summary
The City of Würzburg is seeking an expert Business Continuity Manager to strategically and conceptually build and maintain the city's business continuity management (BCM) framework, focusing specifically on critical scenarios and service continuation. In this role, you will be responsible for the continuous substantive development of defined BCM processes and will act as a subject matter expert, providing consultation in coordination meetings, management, and crisis teams. The ideal candidate possesses a relevant higher education degree (e.g., in Crisis Management or Process Management) or equivalent civil service qualifications. Knowledge of IT, infrastructure management, emergency response, and administrative processes is highly advantageous. This position requires strong organizational skills, resilience, decisiveness, and the ability to work independently and cost-consciously, ensuring the city's essential services remain operational even during emergencies. The role offers a permanent contract with competitive public sector compensation (TVöD EG 11 / A 12 BayBesO).
Required Skills
Education
Required qualification for the 3rd qualification level of the Administrative and Finance career path OR Natural Science and Technology career path (focus: Administrative Informatics), OR completion of the Employee Course II, OR a relevant business administration university degree (e.g., Process Management, Business Model Management, Crisis Management).
Experience
- Knowledge in Information Technology and Infrastructure Management
- Experience in managing emergencies or crises (e.g., general emergency procedures, staff work experience)
- Good knowledge of city administration processes, products, and services
- Basic knowledge and personal experience regarding potential countermeasures for business risks
