Job Summary

This doctoral researcher position focuses on a critical, externally funded research project aiming to establish an evidence-based thrombolysis procedure for saving thrombosed fasciocutaneous and myocutaneous flaps. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing complex laboratory tasks, including primary cell isolation and various cell culture assays (proliferation, migration, tube formation), alongside performing microsurgical procedures in a rat model with comprehensive perioperative care. Key responsibilities also involve advanced analysis techniques such as light/fluorescence microscopy, immunohistological and molecular biological analysis of explants, data evaluation, and writing scientific publications. This role requires a Master's degree or equivalent in Biology, Veterinary Medicine, or Molecular Medicine, strong independent work ethic, fine motor skills for animal testing, and basic English proficiency, offering an opportunity to acquire experimental and microsurgical techniques, including the FELASA certificate, within a supportive, interdisciplinary research environment.

Master of Science (M. Sc.) or Diploma in Biology, Veterinary Medicine, Molecular Medicine, or comparable field

Experience

  • Professional experience in laboratory work (Cell Culture, Histology, Molecular Biology, Animal Models) (Advantageous)
