Job Summary
The District of Wunsiedel i. Fichtelgebirge is hiring an Energy Manager to implement a comprehensive Energy Management System (EMS) as part of the "KSI: Introduction of an Energy Management System (EMS)" funding project. This role is crucial for developing operational and strategic energy goals, leading to tangible measures for resource conservation and cost reduction across the district. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing the EMS, providing expert technical advice during the planning and construction phases of building investments, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, and managing energy controlling, monitoring, and reporting. The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree, preferably focused on energy technology, and possesses practical experience in energy management, strong technical knowledge of building systems, and excellent analytical and communication skills. This is a full-time, three-year fixed-term position, offering a unique opportunity to drive sustainability initiatives within a public administration setting.
