Job Summary

This is a strategic leadership role as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Authorized Bavarian Agency (AS BY), the competence center for digital radio communications (Digitalfunk BOS) used by all public safety organizations in Bavaria. The CIO will be responsible for leading a specialized team of internal and external staff, developing and overseeing the comprehensive IT strategy for the agency, and managing the strategic planning, development, and operation of all Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Key tasks include driving the optimization and digitalization of business processes, establishing end-to-end digital services, and leading critical IT projects. The ideal candidate must hold a Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Management and possess significant professional experience in IT system project coordination and process digitalization, coupled with strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

  • Technical expertise or professional experience in requirements management and software engineering (Desirable)
