This position calls for a dedicated Technical IT Specialist to join the Authorized Body Bavaria, the central competence center for Digital Radio services used by all Bavarian Public Safety Organizations (BOS). The role is crucial for ensuring the operational readiness of digital radio end-devices, involving the preparation, testing, piloting, and execution of device releases for pagers and radios. Day-to-day tasks include administering software tools for updating these devices, providing essential 2nd Level Support through detailed error analysis and user assistance, and serving as the primary technical contact for 3rd-level support and device manufacturers. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or comparable vocational training combined with extensive professional experience. Success requires strong technical interest, excellent German language skills, and a commitment to quality assurance and team collaboration within a critical security infrastructure environment.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma Engineer (FH) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical study program; OR completed technical vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist, IT System Electronics Technician) ideally with further training as a State Certified Technician.

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience (required if substituting a degree with vocational training)
  • Experience in specification, documentation, testing, and acceptance of software products (Desired)
  • Professional experience within Public Safety Organization (BOS) environments (Desired)
