Job Summary

This critical engineering role focuses on designing solutions to ensure resilient system operation within the transmission network, bridging asset management and operational system control. The engineer will develop advanced concepts and assistance systems to maintain quality and enhance fault analysis, addressing major challenges posed by the energy transition, such as the rise of power electronic devices, increased grid utilization, and the integration of high levels of renewable energy. Daily tasks involve performing complex network calculations (stationary, RMS, and EMT), assessing results, defining specifications for future grid protection equipment, and coordinating protection settings with external partners (Transmission System Operators and grid connection customers). Furthermore, the role involves developing net security calculations for converter-dominated systems and contributing to the "Modular Control Center System (MCCS)" project, making it vital for maintaining system stability and advancing grid technology.
