Job Summary
This role is for an Auditor within the local government of Castrop-Rauxel, responsible for ensuring financial compliance and effective administration across municipal departments. Key daily tasks include conducting general administrative audits based on risk-oriented planning, evaluating Internal Control Systems (ICS), and reporting findings to the Audit Committee. The successful candidate will also manage the Audit Committee's operations, continuously monitor payment processing, and advise on the creation and review of official directives. This position requires a strong background in public administration, excellent knowledge of municipal budgetary law, and proficiency in handling legal texts and financial software. It offers a permanent, full-time contract in a collegial environment with flexible working hours and opportunities for mobile work.
Required Skills
Education
Qualification for the 2nd career group, 1st entry level (former higher non-technical administrative service) or a successfully completed Administrative Course II (Verwaltungslehrgang II).
Experience
- Professional experience in various administrative areas
- Experience in applying municipal budgetary law and accounting principles
- Experience in handling legal texts, statutes, and ordinances

Additional
- Must possess the civil service qualification for the higher non-technical administrative service or equivalent administrative training.
