Job Summary

This role involves specialized expertise in managing export compliance and dangerous goods regulations for a leading European technology services platform. The specialist will be responsible for building and maintaining a material database in SAP, including the accurate classification of sales articles, spare parts, and components according to customs tariffs, export control laws (such as EAR, ITAR, ECCN), and goods lists. Key responsibilities include coordinating with manufacturers to clarify technical specifications for classification, liaising with German authorities like Customs and BAFA for binding rulings, and ensuring all dangerous goods are classified and monitored per road, sea, and air regulations. The ideal candidate holds a degree in engineering or a comparable qualification, possesses solid experience in material classification and export control, and demonstrates strong analytical skills, proficiency in SAP/ERP systems, and excellent communication abilities in both German and English.
