Job Summary

This role involves cutting-edge research in gravimetry and small forces, focusing on the development of a MEMS-based differential gradiometer in collaboration with TU Chemnitz. The successful candidate will immerse themselves in gravitational gradiometry, design and implement experimental setups for validating MEMS gradiometers, and develop sophisticated mathematical models for data analysis and uncertainty determination. Key responsibilities include optimizing measurement parameters, creating a digital twin of the system, and simulating gravitational field distributions. You will also plan and execute measurements using state-of-the-art absolute (FG5X) and relative (CG6) gravimeters. This position requires a strong background in engineering or physics, foundational knowledge in metrology, and a passion for precision measurements and practical experimentation, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to world-leading standards in metrology.
