Job Summary

This role involves administering powerful, future-oriented E-Government applications and central IT infrastructures for the State of Bavaria, specifically focusing on digital platforms for schools (BayernCloud Schule). The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of systems within a Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes environment. Day-to-day tasks include system monitoring, performance tuning, error analysis, and robust troubleshooting as part of Incident and Problem Management. A key focus is optimizing operations through the introduction of innovative technologies and automation. Candidates require a degree in IT or extensive vocational training combined with multi-year experience in the field, plus specific knowledge of Kubernetes operations, Linux, Ansible, and web components like Apache and Tomcat. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed Bachelor's degree (or equivalent Dipl.-FH) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable IT field; alternatively, completed IT vocational training combined with extensive further training in two IT fields (e.g., DevOps, Container Technologies).

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes administration
  • Professional experience in system monitoring and performance optimization
  • Experience with error analysis and troubleshooting (Incident and Problem Management)
