Job Summary

This role is designed for a dedicated Civil Engineer specializing in the inventory, planning, and execution of rainwater drainage projects within the Urban Green Spaces and Traffic Department of the City of Lübeck. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting site inventories of existing drainage systems, planning minor repairs and new constructions, and independently managing construction sites. The engineer is crucial in the procurement process, preparing detailed service specifications, evaluating bids, and handling contract negotiations. A significant part of the job involves local construction supervision, ensuring strict adherence to quality, cost, and schedule controls, and managing defect resolution. This position requires a degree in Civil Engineering, preferably specializing in Underground Engineering or Municipal Water Management, strong technical knowledge, and fluent German communication skills.
