Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity to join the Ministry of the Interior, Building, and Sports in Saarbrücken, Germany, as the Responsible Manager for Operator Responsibility and Deputy Head of Technical and Infrastructural Facility Management. You will be instrumental in building a new, future-oriented property management system for the state, overseeing a portfolio of over 400 buildings. Day-to-day, you will design and manage compliance-secure operator responsibility, including risk management and process standardization, and develop statewide standards and digital tools for facility management. The role requires coordinating infrastructural measures, managing external service providers, and deputizing for the Head of Technical and Infrastructural Facility Management. Ideal candidates possess a degree in Facility Management, Building Services Engineering, Architecture, or Civil Engineering, coupled with several years of relevant professional experience and strong knowledge of legal regulations (e.g., GEFMA principles). Required Skills

Education

Completed University Degree (Diplom (FH) / Bachelor) in Facility Management (with a focus on Technical Building Management), Building Services Engineering, Building Technology, Architecture, or Civil Engineering

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in technical and infrastructural facility management
  • Professional experience in compliance-secure operator responsibility
  • Fundametal knowledge of relevant legal regulations in facility management (especially technical FM) and GEFMA principles
  • Initial leadership experience, preferably in organizational development and change projects (Advantageous)
  • Familiarity with the structures and decision-making mechanisms of state administration (Advantageous)
