Job Summary

This role involves working as a Design and Development Engineer focusing on creating simulators and special operating equipment essential for testing and integrating high-end sensor systems, particularly within the radar and optoelectronic fields for HENSOLDT Sensors. Day-to-day tasks include developing, integrating, commissioning, and testing simulators at both subsystem and system levels, performing bug fixing, and driving new software development for specialized equipment. The role requires close coordination with various development departments, including Software, Firmware, Algorithmics, and Hardware teams. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering, possess strong communication skills, and be proficient in German and English, making this an excellent opportunity to contribute to complex, high-tech defense and security solutions.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable qualification; or completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering / Electronics or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in simulator and special operating equipment development
  • Experience in system integration and testing
  • Experience in coordinating with cross-functional development teams (Software, Firmware, Hardware)
  • Experience in managing work packages, including cost, quality, and risk assessment
  • Experience participating in field tests and customer demonstrations
