Job Summary

This role involves serving as a Senior IT Service Technician, primarily supporting the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) IT infrastructure abroad. The position requires a long-term assignment (24 months) in Vilnius, Lithuania, following extensive training in Germany. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing on-site activities related to Incident and IMAC (Installs, Moves, Adds, Changes) requests, installing, commissioning, upgrading, and maintaining hardware and software. You will be administering IT infrastructures, including network and server environments, and providing crucial 1st and 2nd-Level support to users, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The ideal candidate possesses a background in IT systems electronics or informatics, approximately three years of relevant field service experience, and comprehensive knowledge of ticketing systems and IT processes (ITIL knowledge is a plus). Fluency in German and English is mandatory, with Lithuanian skills being advantageous. This is a vital role contributing to the operational readiness and digital future of the German Armed Forces.
