The role involves hands-on laboratory support, assisting scientists with experiments, and collaborating with engineers to build and test prototypes, including electronics, mechanics, and ion optics. Key responsibilities include handling vacuum equipment, conducting instrument testing according to protocols, and performing data evaluation using programming languages like Python. The student will also develop instrument control software procedures to support both research and production, working within a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary, and international team environment.
