Job Summary

This role is a unique opportunity to join the central construction and real estate service provider for the Hessian state administration, based in Frankfurt am Main. As an Electrical Engineering Specialist, you will be crucial in managing building projects within the Real Estate Management division, focusing on the LBIH's portfolio. Day-to-day responsibilities include the independent handling of project tasks, overseeing external engineering firms for new construction, renovations, and maintenance in electrical systems, and performing minor in-house planning for electrical, hazard detection, IT, and communication systems. You will ensure all measures adhere to public procurement and contract law, manage timelines and budgets, and coordinate with all project stakeholders from planning through acceptance and handover. The ideal candidate holds a degree, technician, or master craftsman qualification in Electrical Engineering, possesses knowledge of VDE standards and HOAI phases, and demonstrates strong organizational and teamwork skills. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (FH Diploma/Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering or comparable field; alternatively, a completed qualification as a state-certified Technician or Master Craftsman in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning and construction management
  • Long-term relevant professional experience (required for Technicians/Master Craftsmen without a degree)
  • Experience in monitoring engineering offices for construction projects
  • Experience with public procurement and contract law (desirable)
