Job Summary
This role, based at the Deggendorf Water Management Office, is a critical 5-year fixed-term position focused on specialized hydrological engineering tasks. The primary responsibility involves the assessment and formal establishment of torrent hazard zones (Wildbachgefährdungsbereiche). Day-to-day work includes conducting independent calculations, managing and overseeing contracts awarded to external planners, and integrating the findings into foundational studies and comprehensive torrent development concepts. Furthermore, the role requires significant planning support, including internal and external coordination, data maintenance, and assisting with the torrent structure database. Candidates must possess a completed degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, strong IT skills including ArcGIS Pro, and knowledge of surveying. The position requires self-initiative and a Class B driving license, as regular fieldwork, often in challenging terrain, is essential for success.

Experience
