This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Data Engineer passionate about complex data and shaping the future of digital payments within the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. The successful candidate will join the S-Payment team, supporting the establishment of a central, company-wide data platform crucial for developing advanced Data and AI use cases. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing new data-driven solutions in the payment sector, ensuring continuous and very high data quality across various departments, and leveraging data motivation to inspire new ideas. Candidates must hold a completed Master's degree or PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or related data sciences. Fundamental knowledge of core Big Data technologies, including Python, Spark/PySpark, Hadoop, and SQL, is required, along with practical experience in presenting results using visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or Grafana. This permanent, full-time position offers a direct impact on payment solutions used by over 45 million end customers.
