Job Summary

The Senior AI/ML Engineer will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of payment solutions within the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe by driving innovation at S-Payment. This position focuses on building and maintaining the central, company-wide AI platform and developing cutting-edge AI use cases in the payment sector, directly impacting over 45 million customers. Day-to-day responsibilities include ensuring high quality of AI embedding and workflows, establishing new AI-driven use cases, and actively mentoring junior and professional team members. Candidates must possess a degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics) and 8–10 years of professional experience in Data Science or ML. Deep expertise in Python, major AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), Generative AI, LLMs, and MLOps tools is essential, along with strong German and English language skills.
