Job Summary

This role is for an experienced IT System Engineer specializing in Storage, Backup, and Virtualization, joining a dynamic family-owned IT and Engineering firm. Day-to-day responsibilities include the continuous maintenance and development of VMware vSphere and Horizon environments, managing central file storage and backup infrastructure, and implementing automation solutions for virtual machines and backup processes. The engineer will also optimize technologies such as SAN, NFS, CIFS, LDAP, PKI, and SSL, conduct regular system performance analyses, and ensure security measures are planned and executed across storage and backup domains. Key qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or equivalent, several years of professional experience in IT administration, particularly in virtualized settings, and strong proficiency in VMware vSphere/Horizon View and storage systems.
