Job Summary
The Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator to manage the BetreuungsInitiative Deutsche Auslands- und PartnerSchulen (BIDS) program on a part-time basis (50%), contingent on third-party funding approval. This role is crucial for bridging PASCH schools and German universities, guiding international students toward study opportunities in Germany. Day-to-day responsibilities include comprehensive project coordination, operational planning, and implementation of DAAD-compliant measures, such as organizing information events, orientation programs, and welcome formats. The coordinator will also handle public relations, manage the project budget (including invoice review and reporting), and administer the scholarship program. Key requirements include a university degree (preferably in administrative, social, economic, or humanities fields), proven experience in project execution within an international or university context, and excellent communication skills in both German and English (C1 level). This position requires strong organizational competence, intercultural sensitivity, and the ability to work independently while supporting the International Office's broader goals.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Bachelor or University of Applied Sciences), preferably in Administrative, Social, Economic, or Humanities Sciences.
Experience
- Experience in the design and implementation of projects, preferably in the university sector and in an international context
- Experience in project-related administration of finances and data (e.g., Mobility Online, DAAD Portal) is desirable
- Longer international experience (e.g., through education, study, or work) is desirable
- Experience supervising student assistants (SHKs) in a tutoring program

- This position is exclusively aimed at personnel already employed at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. The contract is temporary (up to three years). Willingness to travel domestically and potentially internationally (Dienstreisen) is required. Non-German degree holders must provide a Statement of Comparability for Foreign Higher Education Qualifications (Zeugnisbewertung).
