Job Summary

Schmitt Engineering, a reliable partner in the industrial sector, is seeking an IT Engineer to join their team and drive the future of their technical expertise. This role is crucial for maintaining and continuously advancing the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring stable and high-performance operations across data center, server, and network environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated deployment and configuration processes, leveraging modern approaches like GitOps and tools such as Python, Ansible, and Kubernetes. Key duties also include establishing efficient Build, Test, and Release pipelines, administering solutions from leading vendors (Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, etc.), and developing robust monitoring and observability solutions. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification, coupled with practical experience in IT infrastructure and project management. Excellent German and English language skills are mandatory, as German is the primary working language.
