Job Summary

The Deutsche Bundesbank is seeking an experienced IT Application Specialist to join their team, focusing on SAP ABAP development and application management within the accounting domain. This role involves the technical integration and operation of various SAP applications for the accounting departments. Day-to-day tasks include consulting internal departments, coordinating new requirements, conducting market research for suitable products, creating technical concepts, and collaborating closely with internal IT units and external partners. A key responsibility is providing last-level support, analyzing and resolving system disruptions and error messages. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in SAP ABAP development, customizing standard SAP modules (ECC and S4 HANA), and comprehensive application management experience, ideally within SAP accounting (e.g., FI). This is a full-time, fixed-term position until December 31, 2027, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the IT infrastructure of a central bank.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in (Business) Informatics, or equivalent qualifications/long-term professional experience combined with a completed IT apprenticeship.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in SAP ABAP development and customizing in SAP standard modules (ECC and S4 HANA)
  • Several years of professional experience in Application Management, ideally in SAP Accounting (e.g., FI)
  • Professional experience in IT Application Management
  • Long-term professional experience combined with a completed IT apprenticeship (e.g., IT Specialist or System Integrator) is comparable to a Bachelor's degree
