Job Summary

This role is for an Embedded Software Developer to join the Research & Development team at WIRTGEN GmbH, a market leader in construction machinery, focusing on smart products and production systems. The core responsibilities involve developing innovative embedded systems for construction machines, specifically in the areas of Connectivity (M2X), IoT, and Precision Roadbuilding. Day-to-day tasks include defining comprehensive software architectures, creating system specifications, and integrating/maintaining future-proof Embedded Linux systems, while also supporting the selection of embedded components. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification and possesses project experience in hardware-related software development within Embedded Linux and backend environments. Essential technical skills include strong object-oriented programming knowledge (C++, Java, C#), proficiency with SQL databases, Python, and practical experience with various interfaces and data formats like MQTT, REST, JSON, and XML.
