Functional Safety Software Engineer for Mobile Machinery | Elektroingenieur (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This role involves developing critical embedded software for the intelligent control and regulation systems of state-of-the-art construction machinery, specifically focusing on functional safety. The engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle, from prototyping and commissioning new machine software through to serial production optimization. A key part of the job is serving as the internal expert on Functional Safety (ISO 13849), ensuring the implementation of safety processes within development projects. Candidates must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field, coupled with at least five years of experience in embedded application software programming for control units, and strong knowledge of relevant safety standards (ISO 13849, IEC/EN 61508, or ISO 26262). The position requires strong C/C++ and Matlab/Simulink skills, excellent communication, and proficiency in English.
