Job Summary

This role involves comprehensive technical building management for complex federal properties within the Facility Management division of the Federal Institute for Real Estate (BImA) in Munich. The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring technical operations and safety of technical systems, including electrical installations, while acting as a subordinate responsible electrical specialist (Verantwortliche Elektrofachkraft). Key duties include developing and optimizing operational and management concepts, planning and executing maintenance processes (inspection, servicing), coordinating construction and value-improvement measures on technical systems, and managing external technical facility management (TFM) service providers. The ideal candidate holds a technical degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, possesses expertise in technical building equipment (TGA) and relevant industry standards (VDE, DIN, GEFMA), and is proficient in MS Office and willing to quickly acquire SAP knowledge. This is a crucial role supporting the federal government's real estate goals, focusing on efficiency, cost optimization, and the transition toward climate-neutral real estate management.

Required Skills

Education

Technical university degree (Dipl.-Ing. / Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering or a comparable degree, or a comparable qualification (e.g., state-certified Technician or Master) with several years of relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in technical building equipment or a similar field
  • Professional experience in technical building management and operating technical systems
  • Several years of relevant professional experience (required for candidates with Technician/Master qualification instead of a degree)
