This Postdoctoral Researcher position at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in infectious diseases. The successful candidate will join the Chemical Biology and RNA Biology of Bacterial Infections departments, focusing on the design and synthesis of innovative RNA-binding drug conjugates. These compounds are envisioned as next-generation precision drugs, selectively targeting bacterial species. The role involves complex multistep synthesis of peptide-like molecules and delivery units, requiring strong organic chemistry skills, including purification and analytical techniques like HPLC/MS and NMR spectroscopy. This collaborative position offers significant exposure to both chemistry and infection biology within an international, multidisciplinary team, with regular travel to Würzburg.
