Job Summary

This role involves providing specialized engineering support for electrical and process control technology (EMSR) within a chemical production facility located in Essen. The Plant Engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of these systems, including independent execution of maintenance, optimization tasks, and prompt troubleshooting with thorough root cause analysis. Key daily activities include creating, reviewing, and coordinating maintenance and inspection plans, updating plant documentation, and managing operational investment and maintenance projects. A successful candidate must hold a degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on EMSR, Automation, or IT, possess fundamental knowledge of electrical and process control systems, and be familiar with VDE standards, explosion protection, and modern automation systems (PLS, SPS, SSPS). The position requires a strong commitment to compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal guidelines concerning safety, health, environment, and quality, and participation in the departmental EMSR on-call rotation is mandatory.
