Job Summary

This role is a critical opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to actively shape the digital transformation within pharmaceutical production environments. The successful candidate will be locally based in Penzberg, contributing globally to the stability of vital production and laboratory systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include the independent administration of IT/OT infrastructures, acting as the specialist for physical and virtual Microsoft Client-Server environments, and ensuring operational security for regulated Pharma Closed User Groups. Key requirements include a degree in Computer Science or a related field, multi-year professional experience in heterogeneous system landscapes, and mandatory knowledge of GMP, GAMP, and CSV. The position requires deep expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization (VMware vSphere), and network infrastructure, all while ensuring high stability and security in sensitive production settings. This is a temporary, approximately two-year assignment.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Natural Sciences, or equivalent long-term qualifications

Experience

  • Multi-year professional experience in heterogeneous system landscapes or with automation/laboratory information systems
  • Multi-year professional experience in network administration
  • Deep experience in physical and virtual Microsoft Client Server environments including Domain Management
  • Experience with medium or large virtualization environments

Additional

  • Mandatory knowledge in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GAMP (Good Automated Manufacturing Practice), and/or CSV (Computer System Validation); Participation in rotating on-call duty (approx. 1 week every 2 months, 4 PM - 8 AM); Participation in rotating service duty (every 6-8 weeks, Mon - Fri, 8 AM - 4 PM); Local presence required in Penzberg for on-call and service duties; Temporary contract duration (approx. 2 years)
