Job Summary
This role involves working as a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician within a leading international aluminum extrusion company, specializing in high-strength materials for aerospace and automotive industries. You will be responsible for independently executing non-destructive tests, primarily using ultrasonic testing and visual inspection, adhering strictly to internal and customer specifications. Key duties include generating detailed test protocols and providing crucial quality support and release decisions across production, quality assurance, and laboratory interfaces. The ideal candidate holds a technical qualification, such as a Materials Inspector or Industrial Mechanic, and ideally possesses Level 1 or 2 certification in Ultrasonic Testing (EN 4179 or EN ISO 9712). Experience with penetrant and eddy current testing, along with proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems, is essential. This is a full-time, 3-shift position offering a long-term career path and competitive compensation under the IG Metall tariff.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical training (e.g., Materials Inspector or Industrial Mechanic); Ideally certified according to EN 4179 or EN ISO 9712; Ideally qualified as Ultrasonic Tester Level 1 or 2
