Job Summary

This critical role seeks a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Material Tester to join an international aluminum extrusion company specializing in high-strength alloys for the aerospace and automotive industries. The core responsibility involves independently performing various NDT methods, primarily utilizing ultrasound and visual inspection, to ensure products meet stringent customer specifications and internal quality standards. Daily tasks include meticulous creation and documentation of test protocols and results, and providing quality support and release decisions in close collaboration with the Production and Quality Assurance departments. Key qualifications include a completed technical education, such as a Material Tester or Industrial Mechanic background, and proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems. Ideally, candidates hold certifications like EN 4179 or EN ISO 9712, particularly as an Ultrasonic Tester Level 1 or 2. This position offers a stable, long-term perspective within a structured 3-shift, 35-hour work week, governed by the attractive IG Metall collective agreement.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical training (e.g., Material Tester or Industrial Mechanic, or comparable qualification). Certification according to EN 4179 or EN ISO 9712 (ideal). Qualification as Ultrasonic Tester Level 1 or Level 2 (ideal).

Experience

  • Professional experience handling testing equipment and measuring instruments
