Job Summary
This leadership role, based in Düren, focuses on managing and developing the Automation Department, ensuring the successful execution of all automation projects. The Head of Automation will be responsible for the technical and disciplinary leadership of the team, ensuring structured task organization, and overseeing project quality, deadlines, and costs across all phases. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining software standards for PLC and robotic systems, collaborating closely with design and project management teams on holistic automation concepts, and supporting commissioning both in-house and at customer sites. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automation Technology, possesses multi-year professional experience in PLC programming for special machinery or plant construction, and has knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal, S7, and robot programming. Strong leadership skills and fluency in German (C1) are essential for success.
