Job Summary

This role involves serving as a Planning Engineer responsible for the preparation, design, and implementation of critical flood protection projects specifically focused on torrential waterways (Wildbäche) within the Altötting, Berchtesgadener Land, and Traunstein districts. The successful candidate will manage the entire project lifecycle, including technical processing, project organization, securing financing, and handling the tendering and awarding of engineering services. Key requirements include a Bachelor's or equivalent degree, preferably in Civil Engineering, strong proficiency in GIS, CAD, and 2D hydraulic modeling software, and advanced German language skills (C1). This is a permanent, full-time position with flexible working hours, offering an engaging and challenging role within the Bavarian State Water Management Office, contributing directly to water safety and preservation for future generations.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or Dipl. Ing. (FH) degree, preferably in Civil Engineering or comparable studies

Experience

  • Professional experience in the tendering and awarding of supply and service contracts (advantageous)
  • Professional experience in procurement and contract law (e.g., HOAI and VOB) (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of torrent science (Wildbachkunde) (advantageous)
