Job Summary
This role involves supporting students and faculty in laboratory-based teaching (practicals) and research projects within the Faculty of AI at Deggendorf Technical University. The core responsibilities include the comprehensive setup, administration, and support of IT systems within the labs, encompassing server management, VLAN configuration, and virtual machines (VMs). The specialist will also be the primary contact for user inquiries and will manage the hardware and software inventory for the faculty. Key qualifications include a university degree in Computer Science or vocational training as an IT Specialist combined with relevant professional experience. Excellent command of both written and spoken German and English is mandatory. This is a crucial position ensuring the smooth operation of the technical infrastructure essential for high-level, practice-oriented teaching and research.
