Job Summary

The City of Viersen is seeking a dedicated Industrial Electrician to join the Municipal Operations Department, focusing on city streets. This role involves the independent execution of diverse electrotechnical tasks, including conducting inspections according to DGUV Regulation 4, maintaining and repairing traffic light systems (Lichtsignalanlagen), and servicing parking meters. The successful candidate will also be responsible for mounting traffic counting devices and performing general maintenance on traffic signs and facilities. This position requires a completed vocational training as an electrical installer, strong technical knowledge, flexibility, and a willingness to perform overtime and on-call duties, including participation in winter road services. Proficiency in standard office software and specialized electrical testing software is required, alongside possession of a Class B driving license with the readiness to upgrade.
