Job Summary

This PhD candidate position offers a highly motivated individual the opportunity to join the Neuroepigenetics and Data Science group at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU). The core focus of the role is the development of novel algorithms for multi-omics data integration, aiming to unravel complex epigenetic mechanisms underlying brain cell function and neurodegenerative diseases. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting exploratory data analysis on large-scale genomic datasets, contributing significantly to scientific publications and presentations, and engaging in collaborative research with neuroscientists and clinicians. The ideal candidate must hold a Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Bioinformatics, Data Science, or Computer Science, coupled with strong programming proficiency in R or Python.
