Job Summary

This role involves leading the physical-technical laboratory operations at the Alfried Krupp Student Laboratory of Sciences, an extracurricular learning and research center. The Laboratory Manager will independently handle all technical tasks, including the procurement, maintenance, and servicing of equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety, waste, and disposal concepts. A key part of the job involves the administration of IT hardware and software, such as maintaining fixed computers, laptops, tablets, and the network. Furthermore, the manager will organize and execute the preparation and follow-up of project offerings and provide guidance to student and scientific assistants. This is a permanent, part-time position (50%), ideal for a professional with a background in physical-technical assistance or laboratory work who possesses strong organizational skills and a willingness to acquire the necessary radiation protection certification.

Relevant vocational training (e.g., Physical-Technical Assistant, Physics Laboratory Technician)

Experience

  • Successfully completed relevant vocational training (e.g., Physical-Technical Assistant, Physics Laboratory Technician)
  • Experience in the maintenance of IT facilities
  • Professional experience is advantageous (multi-year experience preferred)
