Job Summary
This role is for a Chemist/Research Associate to join the R&D team focusing on Analytics, Materials, and Composites at a leading research institution in Jena. The successful candidate will be instrumental in acquiring and executing publicly funded research projects and industrial development contracts. Day-to-day responsibilities include the development, optimization, and validation of analytical and measurement methods, particularly in instrumental analysis like Liquid Chromatography. You will be responsible for planning, conducting, and evaluating experiments, preparing scientific reports and manuscripts for publication, and presenting results at conferences. This position requires a degree in Chemistry, strong analytical skills, and the willingness to take on project responsibility, offering a challenging and autonomous role with the potential for permanent employment.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Chemistry (Master's or equivalent); Doctorate (PhD) is desirable
Experience
- Professional experience in instrumental analysis, especially Liquid Chromatography (desirable)
- Experience in taking responsibility for overall or partial projects (dependent on professional experience)
- Experience in statistical and graphical measurement data evaluation
Languages
Additional
- Must possess very good written and spoken German (C1 level) and at least good English skills (written and spoken).
