Job Summary
This role involves supporting a research and development team at INNOVENT e. V. in Jena, focusing on analytics, materials, and composites. As a Chemical Technical Assistant, you will participate in practical research projects funded by both public grants and industrial contracts. Your daily responsibilities include performing chemical analyses using advanced techniques such as Gas Chromatography (GC/MS) and various forms of spectroscopy (Raman, IR, UV/Vis). You will also be responsible for operating laboratory equipment, validating methods, and formulating adhesives. The position offers a high degree of variety, as you will characterize surfaces and materials while documenting results using standard office software. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed vocational training as a Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA) or Chemical Laboratory Technician.
Experience
- Professional experience as a Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA) or Chemical Laboratory Technician
- Experience in instrumental analytics and material testing is preferred
- Experience in conducting and documenting scientific experiments
- Experience in laboratory management and maintenance of operating procedures
