Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Scientific Doctoral Researcher to join the Hematology and Oncology research group at the University Hospital Freiburg. The successful candidate will focus on a fundamental and translational tumor-immunological research project exploring the mechanisms of immune evasion in Gliomas. Day-to-day responsibilities involve utilizing cutting-edge Spatial Single-Cell Technologies, such as Spatial Multi-Omics (Visium, SlideTags, PhenoCycler Fusion), and working extensively with both patient and mouse samples. The role requires a strong background, demonstrated by a completed Master's degree in Molecular Medicine, Biology, or Bioinformatics, coupled with practical expertise in both wet-lab molecular biology techniques (RNA/DNA isolation, Library Preparation) and antibody-based staining methods (Immunohistochemistry). The position offers structured mentoring in advanced computational biology and spatial technologies, along with participation in the 'OncoEscape' Graduate School, providing a robust foundation for completing a high-impact scientific doctoral thesis.
