Job Summary
This role involves contributing to the protection of democracy by joining the State Office for the Protection of the Constitution (LfV) in the Cyber Defense unit. The specialist will focus on the strategic, methodical, and analytical development of core cyber defense tasks, including detection, attribution, and prevention. Day-to-day activities include leading specialized projects, addressing fundamental technical issues, serving as a key contact for IT security managers in government agencies and critical infrastructure (KRITIS), and participating in public relations and reporting. The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge in network/system architectures, IT forensics, and digital trace analysis, coupled with excellent project management and conceptual skills. Required Skills
Education
University or college degree (Diploma or Master’s) in a relevant IT field from an accredited program. A focus on Cybersecurity, such as a Master’s in Digital Forensics / Cybersecurity, is helpful.
Experience
- Experience in the strategic, methodical, and analytical development of core tasks (Detection, Attribution, Prevention)
- Experience in project development and execution within the technical field
- Experience in organizational and planning tasks

- Must be a German citizen. Must successfully undergo an expanded security clearance check with security investigations (Sicherheitsüberprüfung). Willingness to travel and work outside regular hours if necessary.
