Job Summary
This role involves working within the State Office for the Protection of the Constitution (LfV) in Baden-Württemberg, specifically in the unit for investigations, technical analysis, and legend support. As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, implementation, and maintenance of the department's IT infrastructure. Your duties include configuring networks, managing virtual server landscapes, firewalls, and VPN connections, as well as maintaining mobile hardware like laptops and smartphones. You will also oversee the technical operation of telecommunications surveillance systems and contribute to software development projects. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Computer Science or a related field; or completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) with several years of experience. Note: Master's degrees cannot be considered for this specific pay grade.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT network administration and component management
- Experience in software or script development (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or Bash) is advantageous
- Several years of relevant professional experience required for applicants with vocational training
- Experience in communicating complex technical content to diverse target groups
- Experience in public service or security-sensitive environments is beneficial

- German citizenship is a mandatory requirement. Candidates must undergo an extended security clearance (SÜ3) according to the State Security Clearance Act. The role is based in Stuttgart and involves occasional participation in specialized workshops and committees.
