Job Summary

This position offers a motivated individual the opportunity to join the Technical University of Dresden (TUD) as a Scientific Researcher/Doctoral Candidate within the Faculty of Biology. The role is integral to the BMFTR-funded GLOP-E project, which focuses on enhancing learning effectiveness and sustainability through problem-oriented cooperation between school and extracurricular learning sites (e.g., labs and companies), specifically in the context of sustainable energy education. Day-to-day responsibilities include independent scientific research, operationalizing project goals, analyzing the potential of learning offers, optimizing teaching materials, and conducting rigorous qualitative and quantitative impact studies (Pre-Post-Follow-Up) on student interest and evaluation competence. The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing research results for scientific publications and conferences, and organizing related workshops. Key qualifications include a very strong academic background in Biology Teaching and a proven interest in educational research. This role is attractive due to the opportunity for independent work, scientific qualification (typically a PhD), and flexible working arrangements within a supportive, interdisciplinary team.
