Job Summary

This role involves joining the State Metrology and Calibration Service of Lower Saxony (MEN) as a Certified Technician or Master Technician, focusing primarily on field service operations in the Hannover and Nienburg regions. Day-to-day responsibilities include the testing, calibration, and supervision of various measuring instruments and packaged goods at customer sites, ensuring compliance with legal metrology standards. You will also be responsible for initiating administrative offense procedures when necessary. The ideal candidate holds a technical qualification in fields like Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering, possesses strong foundational knowledge in mathematics and physics relevant to metrology, and demonstrates a keen interest in legal regulations. The position requires excellent German language skills (written and spoken C2), physical resilience, and a Class B driver’s license for extensive travel within Lower Saxony. Comprehensive training is provided, including specialized courses, offering a secure public sector position with regulated hours and the potential for long-term civil service status.

Required Skills

Education

State-Certified Technician or Master Technician qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Technology, or related fields.
