Job Summary

The State Tax Administration of Rhineland-Palatinate is seeking a Database Specialist to join the team responsible for 'Tax System Administration (KONSENS)' in Koblenz. This role focuses on the installation, administration, and operation of complex database systems, operating systems, and middleware, with a strong emphasis on database systems. Day-to-day tasks involve rigorous monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in both productive and non-productive environments. A key responsibility is developing and implementing robust Backup, Recovery, and Disaster Recovery strategies. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent, or a vocational degree in System Integration with at least three years of professional experience, and possesses deep knowledge of relational databases, particularly Oracle and PostgreSQL.
