Job Summary
The Waterways and Shipping Administration of the Federal Government is seeking an IT Specialist to join their team at the Maritime Security Center in Cuxhaven. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of vital IT systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up and commissioning client systems for office communication, 24-hour services, and VoIP, as well as installing and configuring specialized applications. A key part of the role involves software rollouts using central distribution systems and providing essential 1st and 2nd level support to resolve client system issues. The ideal candidate will have a completed vocational training as an IT Specialist or equivalent experience, coupled with strong problem-solving skills and a good understanding of Microsoft products and network fundamentals.
