Job Summary

This critical role involves leading and coordinating complex, cross-departmental IT projects within the city administration of Potsdam, focusing on the digitalization of administrative processes and local schools. The IT Project Lead will be responsible for the full project management lifecycle, including requirements engineering, budget monitoring, and stakeholder communication. Key tasks include advising departments on new system introductions (such as citizen portals), developing technical specifications (performance and requirements documents), optimizing workflows, and overseeing procurement processes, including drafting EVB-IT contracts. The ideal candidate holds a degree in IT, Business Informatics, or Business Administration and possesses extensive experience in leading complex IT projects, ideally within the public sector. This position offers a secure, full-time, permanent role with flexible work options (up to 50% mobile work) and a competitive public sector salary (E 13 TVöD-VKA), supporting the city's future-oriented IT infrastructure.

Required Skills

Education

FH or Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a comparable field. Project Management (PM) certification is desirable.

Experience
