Job Summary

This role involves managing and operating the critical network infrastructure for the Hamburg University of Technology (TU Hamburg), ensuring high security, availability, and performance for research, teaching, and administrative services. Key responsibilities include coordinating network planning, administering active and passive components, and continuously developing monitoring solutions (SNMP, Logging). The successful candidate will also manage network-accompanying services like bandwidth and cable management, and administer firewalls, VPN services, and network servers.
