Job Summary

This role involves working as a Materials Tester within a material laboratory for a leading industrial company specializing in power plant construction, located in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany. The primary responsibilities include conducting mechanical materials testing, specifically operating creep testing facilities and performing tensile and notched bar impact tests. Candidates with relevant experience will also conduct cyclic fatigue tests (LCF) using servo-hydraulic testing machines. Key qualifications include professional experience as a Materials Tester or a relevant technical background (e.g., Industrial Mechanic, Metal Worker, Construction Mechanic, or Locksmith) combined with further qualification as a Technician or Industrial Master in Metal, focusing on destructive testing of metallic materials. The position offers an attractive salary package including industry bonuses based on the IG Metall/Electro collective agreement, with an option for permanent takeover by the client.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as an Industrial Mechanic, Metal Worker, Construction Mechanic, or Locksmith, with further qualification as a Technician or Industrial Master in Metal, or equivalent professional experience as a Materials Tester.

Experience
